Downtown Plan Update

The City of Elmhurst entered into a contract with Houseal Lavigne Associates on December 4, 2023 to update the 2016 Downtown Plan. The Plan will serve as the City’s official guide for downtown growth and development. It will address land use and development, redevelopment opportunities and catalyst sites, transportation, parking, pedestrian mobility, streetscape, and placemaking and public realm improvements.

Public input is critical to the success of the final plan. To help ensure Elmhurst continues to have a vibrant, competitive downtown, the City is requesting input from residents, the business community, developers and others who have a vested interest in our future. The project website will be updated throughout the process with ways to participate, upcoming meeting dates, and draft documents to review. Thank you for your interest and participation in this project.
