Elmhurst Police Officers Will Be “On a Rooftop” for Special Olympics 

Cop on a roofNext week, law enforcement officers from throughout the state will rise to the occasion and support the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics atop Dunkin’ rooftops on Friday, May 17th, beginning at 5 a.m. until noon. Elmhurst officers hope to top last year’s donation level of over $7,000 as they go to new heights to raise awareness and donations for Illinois Special Olympics athletes.

On Friday, May 17, 2024, between 5:00 a.m. and Noon, members of the Elmhurst Police Department, the Elmhurst Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association, and local Special Olympics ambassadors will be accepting donations at the Dunkin’ located at 936 N. York Street, Elmhurst, IL.

Special Olympics Illinois provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic sports for local children and adults with special needs by giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience achievement while building friendships with other Special Olympics athletes and their communities. These champions are our heroes so please stop by, donate, and be their hero too!
