The Commission shall have the following powers and duties:
- To establish, maintain and promote communication among the City, other government agencies, businesses, business, trade and industry organizations and other local organizations and institutions, for the purpose of maintaining and improving the economic health of the City
- To recommend to the City Council those actions and programs that will serve to carry out the purpose of the Commission
- To submit to the City Council, on or before January 15 of each year, a report on the economic state of the City
- To elect from its members a Chairman and Vice Chairman
- To perform such other duties as the City Council may direct
