My neighbor has a dead tree on his property and it looks like it may fall at anytime. Will the City take it down for my neighbor?

The City will not perform any tree maintenance on private property.  Trees on private property are considered a civil matter and should be resolved between neighbors. If the tree is dead, however, then the City may have an arborist evaluate the tree to determine if it presents a safety hazard.  If the tree is deemed to be dead, diseased, dangerous, or likely to fall, then the City Arborist & Code Enforcement may require the tree to be removed by the private property owner.
