Baxter & Woodman Natural Resources, LLC (BWNR) has been retained by the City to perform a controlled burn on land at the Arlington Reservoir. Controlled burns are a standard maintenance practice for natural landscaping areas for efficiently removing unwanted plant species. BWNR has a certified prescribed burn manager in charge of the burn and local fire departments will be notified the morning of the burn to ensure the utmost safety.
Controlled Burn Location – Arlington Reservoir
The controlled burn area is located on the west side County Line Road bordered by McMaster Carr to the north and Arlington Cemetery to the South as highlighted in the figure below.
BWNR is planning to perform the burn within the next week once weather conditions are determined to be safe and favorable, currently estimated to be March 20th or 21st. The burn is expected to take no more than 6 hours and will begin at approximately 10 a.m. Weather conditions will be closely monitored throughout the burn.
Please contact the following project managers if you have any questions or concerns
