ComEd is monitoring a weather system that is forecasted to enter our territory at approximately 2pm-3pm, as a cold front moves in, pop-up storms will be possible at this time. Widespread thunderstorms are expected to develop around 3pm-4pm. The system is expected to bring gusts up to 55-65mph and is predicted to produce occasional lightning and localized areas of heavy rain. Forecasts show this storm will exit the service territory around 8pm this evening.
ComEd will be opening command centers in preparation for the storms. ComEd will monitor these storms they develop across our service territory and will provide updates as they are available.

- Additionally, they should always stay clear of downed power lines and call 911 should they feel there is immediate danger. 911 should not be used to call in power outages.
