The Memorial Ceremony and Funeral Procession for the late Elmhurst Police Chief Michael R. Ruth will occur this Friday, June 10th at 10 a.m.

The event will cause a need for road closure of First street between Haven and York from 7:30 AM until approximately 11:30 AM.  Additionally, Palmer Drive from Schiller to S. York will be closed from 8:15 AM until approximately 11:30 AM. The funeral procession will occur at approximately 11 a.m.  Please see attached map with road closures and the funeral procession route identified. 

The public is invited to line the route of the procession to honor Chief Ruth's life and public service to the Elmhurst community.  

The procession will travel south on York Street from Palmer Drive to Roosevelt Road. 

We anticipate that the roads will reopen and crowds will disperse around 11:30 AM.
