The Elmhurst Police Department will be hosting a memorial ceremony for Police Chief Michael Ruth on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. located on the grounds of the Police Station, 125 E. First Street. This memorial ceremony is open to the public and we expect it to be well attended. To avoid crowds, please know that coverage of the ceremony will be recorded and posted to the City’s YouTube page, ElmhurstTV on the same day.  

Please join us in lining the route for Chief Ruth's procession. The public is invited to line the route at 11 a.m. to honor Chief Ruth's life and public service to the Elmhurst community.  The procession will travel south on York Street from Palmer Drive to Roosevelt Road.
