Elmhurst police are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred at Chase Bank, 163 N. York Rd. Elmhurst, on Friday, December 31, 202 at 3:15 p.m.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. a man entered the Chase Bank at 163 N. York Rd. and displayed a blue steel semi-automatic handgun while demanding cash from a bank teller. The offender is described as a male/black, 40 years of age, large build wearing a gray puffy jacket and dark cap. The offender took an undetermined amount of cash and fled eastbound on foot. No injuries were reported.
