Elmhurst Police are investigating an Attempted Armed Robbery that occurred in the 300 block of Cayuga Avenue on August 29, 2021 at 9:45 p.m. The victim told police that while he was out walking his dog, he noticed a light colored or white SUV pass him several times on Cayuga Ave. A brief time later, two suspects exited the vehicle displaying a black handgun. They demanded money and patted the victim down. Subsequently, nothing was taken and the offenders fled the scene westbound on Wilson from Cayuga. The two suspects were both described as male/black wearing black cloth masks; suspect #1)18-20 years old, 5'08, 160 lbs. and suspect #2) 30 years old, 5'10, 200 lbs.
