[ARCHIVED] Elmhurst Police Department Kicks off 2021 Neighborhood Roll Call Season

060121-NRC3-1600

On Tuesday, June 1, the Elmhurst Police Department held the first Neighborhood Roll Call of the 2021 season on Colfax Avenue in the southeast area of Elmhurst. The beautiful weather helped with a great turnout of neighborhood residents and plenty of kids to meet with Watch Commander Dave Rivkin and the team of ten south area patrol officers. Aldermen Mike Honquest and Emily Bastedo and City Manager Jim Grabowski attended to highlight other city business and answer questions.

The award-winning Neighborhood Roll Call program is held every Tuesday and Thursday evening during the summer at locations around the City that are chosen to include all neighborhoods and wards. Residents are able to meet face-to-face with the police officers who patrol their neighborhoods to address any concerns and to learn more about their police department. Police  Officers answer questions about current crime trends around Elmhurst and invite residents to participate in community public safety programs. The Elmhurst Police Department has held 210 Neighborhood Roll Call events since 2014 with more than 5,000 residents attending the community outreach program.

The next Neighborhood Roll Call will be at Walnut and Fremont on Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. For more information about this community-based policing program please visit the Neighborhood Roll Call page.
