On May 14th, 2021, Elmhurst Police received a call from the parent of a 10-year-old boy who reported a suspicious encounter occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. while walking home from school in the 400 block of Huntington Lane. A gray older model sedan type vehicle stopped to ask if the child needed a ride. The child declined and the vehicle drove away without any further conversation. The driver was described as a male white with black hair wearing a black coat.

The Elmhurst Police have been investigating this incident, and have increased police presence in the area. They are asking for the public's help that anyone with additional information please contact the Elmhurst Police at 630-530-3050.
