With the advice and consent of the Elmhurst City Council, Mayor Scott M. Levin will appoint a replacement to the 5th Ward aldermanic seat that became vacant on May 3, when he took office as mayor.  This person will serve out the remaining 2 years of the term, until May 2023. For this particular vacancy, Levin believes that soliciting applications is a good way to gauge interest and identify candidates from the Fifth Ward at-large.
