On May 2, 2021, at approximately 2:59 p.m., the City of Elmhurst Fire Department and mutual aid companies responded to a fire at an apartment building located at 150 E. Lake Street in Elmhurst. Upon arrival, one individual was non-responsive and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The State Fire Marshal is on the scene to investigate. All road closures due to the incident are now open.
