Update in City’s Green Electric Aggregation Program

Electric Aggregation

The City is renewing its Green Electric Aggregation program by moving from supplier MC Squared to Chicago-based Eligo Energy. Ratepayers will be charged exactly the ComEd rate and will enjoy the added benefit of Green Energy via renewable generation facilities as represented by 25% Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and Eligo will provide an annual civic contribution to support local sustainability initiatives at zero added cost to ratepayers and the City. Through this program the City will retain its designation as an EPA Green Power Community. Please click here to learn about this program.

Important note: No one will visit your home about this notice. If a solicitor claims to be the City supplier, Eligo, or ComEd, take their information and report the incident to the ICC at www.icc.illinois.gov/complaints. Never reveal your ComEd account number or allow a solicitor to view your ComEd bill unless you are certain you wish to enroll with that supplier and have read all terms and conditions.
