Region 8 including Elmhurst has moved into Phase 4 Tier 1 Mitigations
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced that due to decreased COVID-19 positivity rates, Region 8 (including Elmhurst) has moved to Tier 1 of COVID-19 Mitigations, which includes the allowance of limited indoor dining.
A full list of mitigation guidelines for Tier 1 are available at the following link: https://dph.illinois.gov/sites/default/files/COVID19/IL%20Tier%201%20Resurgence%20Mitigations%20-%20January%2022%2C%202021%20Update.pdf
Included but not limited within these guidelines is the limited re-opening of indoor dining to the lesser of 25-persons or 25% capacity per room of the dining establishment at a maximum 4-persons per table.

The City of Elmhurst strongly encourages that you choose local when possible. Our local businesses need your support now more than ever. While we move into the next phase of restoring our local economy, please remember to comply with health department recommendations. Continue to practice social distancing by wearing a mask in situations when a minimum of 6’ of social distancing cannot be maintained.
Remember the 3 W’s:

We must remain focused on moving to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan which will allow for less restrictions on restaurants and bars. In order to reach this Phase, Region 8 must reach the criteria to leave the resurgence mitigations and re-enter the original Restore Illinois Plan which includes a positivity rate less or equal to 6.5% for three consecutive days and no sustained increase in COVID-19 patients in hospitals measured by a 7-day average of 10 days.
