Union Pacific Railroad Villa Avenue Crossing Repairs

The Union Pacific Railroad will be performing emergency repairs at the railroad crossing on Villa Avenue between St. Charles Rd and North Ave this weekend. The crossing will be closed from approximately 6:00 AM on Saturday, January 23, through approximately 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 24, while this work is taking place. Ardmore Avenue will be the designated detour route for all traffic. The detour route will be clearly posted prior to the start of construction. Route 83 can also be used to avoid the area. This work is being completed and funded entirely by the Union Pacific Railroad. Anyone with questions about the work should contact the Village of Villa Park Public Works Department at 630-834-8505.
