Elmhurst Fire Department respond to house fire on 300 Block of N. Oak St.

Elmhurst, IL- At 7:34 a.m. this morning, Elmhurst Firefighters were called to the scene of a residential house fire on the 300 block of North Oak St.

Upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home. Firefighters were informed that all residents had safely evacuated the home with no injuries reported. Firefighters contained the fire in approximately 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Elmhurst Fire Department. The fire caused substantial damage to the home, however no estimated of damage is available at this time.
