City Hall Public Access Restricted Beginning Thursday, March 18th at 5pm
Elmhurst, IL March 18, 2020 - The City of Elmhurst is modifying City facility access to protect the citizens and employees and minimize opportunities to spread COVID-19 in our community.
Taking into consideration CDC recommendations on social distancing and the preventative procedures occurring across the nation, the City will be taking additional precautionary measures.
As of March 18th at 5pm, City Hall will continue to operate while being closed to the public. All meetings and events have been postponed. City Hall employees will be readily available to communicate with residents remotely during normal business hours. City business including transactions for utility bills, vehicle stickers, permits and all other payments can be conducted online, over the phone or by mail. Residents are asked to call (630) 530-3000 or visit Elmhurst.org to conduct this business. Additionally, a drop box in the City Hall parking lot can be used for document and payment delivery
Essential operations including Police, Fire and Public Works will continue.
“Our top priority continues to be the residents of Elmhurst as we continue to be proactive in taking the appropriate measures to reduce the spread of this virus,” says City Manager Jim Grabowski. “We are evaluating ways in which we can maintain our level of services while safeguarding our citizens and employees.”
