[ARCHIVED] Public Works Crews focus on early winter weather

City of Elmhurst Logo

Early winter weather has caused tree branches to come down across the City. City crews are working to remove branches from city owned trees that have blocked roadways, driveways or sidewalks. Crews will continue to focus on branch removal of parkway trees and ask residents to call the Public Works Department at 630-530-3020 to report fallen or hanging parkway branches.

The City understands that private residential trees have also experienced damage and therefore will be providing through Republic Services a free storm damage branch collection on Monday, November 4th and Tuesday, November 5th. All branches should be cut to appropriate, manageable 4 foot lengths and bundled to ensure pickup. The City would also like to remind residents to help keep inlets clear of snow, leaves and debris to help prevent neighborhood flooding.
