Elmhurst Police have arrested a 48 year old St. Charles man for a violation of the Illinois Concealed Carry Act after he carried a concealed handgun on to Elmhurst College property and entered a college owned apartment dormitory.

On October 29, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., Elmhurst Police were dispatched to a report of a man with a gun on the college property in the area of Walter & Prospect.  A witness directed police to the man who was discovered carrying a concealed handgun with a valid permit and was visiting his daughter on campus.  He was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Robert F Ratliff, age 48 of 7N918 Phar lap Drive, St. Charles, IL 60175 was charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm in a Prohibited Area.
