The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that tree and brush removal on the entrance ramp from eastbound North Avenue (Illinois 64) to inbound Interstate 290 in Elmhurst will require a full closure of the ramp, weather permitting, from 6 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, and from to 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13.

While the ramp is closed, motorists are advised to enter inbound I-290 at either Lake Street (Illinois 20), York Street or St. Charles Road.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
