The City of Elmhurst is inviting the community to the 17th Anniversary 9-11 Ceremony held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Fire Station #2 (601 S. York Road, Elmhurst, IL). The ceremony will commemorate Patriot Day and the National Day of Remembrance. True Patriots Care Honor Flags will be set up to memorialize the 403 first responders who died that day.
“Remembering those brave people who lost their lives 17 years ago during the 9-11 tragedy is important as our country moves forward,” said Deputy Fire Chief Bill Anaszewicz, “We will continue to honor those who died, the first responders and those affected by the incident.”

Patriot Day occurs on September 11 of each year in memory of the people who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
