Elmhurst police have arrested two subjects believed to be responsible for a series of car & unlocked garage burglaries in south Elmhurst.
On January 25th at 3:00 a.m. an Elmhurst police officer on patrol discovered an open car door with the dome light on in the 800 block of Saylor. It was learned that several unlocked cars and unlocked garages were entered in the 900 & 1000 block of Saylor between the hours of 2:30 and 4:00 a.m. The offenders took change, and other items of value from the cars and garage.
Video surveillance from the area assisted police in identifying the suspectsand they were subsequently taken into custody on January 26th by Elmhurst police detectives. Both suspects were charged with burglary and transported to the DuPage County Jail.
