Elmhurst Police have charged three suspects following an investigation of Burglary and Auto Theft that occurred in north Elmhurst on Monday morning.
On Monday, November 27, 2017 at 5:00 a.m. Elmhurst police officers responded to the area of 600 Fay for a report of a prowler in the garage. Responding officers observed two vehicles leaving the area and attempted to stop the cars. Both vehicles fled and struck a marked squad car in front of 429 West Ave. The suspects fled the scene on foot. It was learned that the vehicles were stolen from Villa Park & Elmhurst a short time earlier.
Elmhurst Police officers established a perimeter and with the assistance of surrounding police agencies began a systematic search of the area. The suspects were subsequently located at: 463 W. North Ave, North Ave & Ridgeland, and 400 block of West Ave. Police have recovered a loaded handgun from one of the suspects and a fourth suspect remains at large.
Investigation revealed that over twenty unlocked cars and several unlocked garages were entered in North Elmhurst to steal items of value and look for cars with keys in the ignition. One of the suspects apprehended was on parole and each of the suspects has prior criminal arrests.

3 CTs Burglary & Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle
Deanthony Webb – Age 23 of 6721 Paxton, Chicago, IL
3 CTs Burglary & Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle
Deonte Daniel – Age 21 of 6954 S. Clyde, Chicago, IL
3 CTs Burglary & Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle
All three subjects have been transported to DuPage County Jail pending a bond hearing.
