The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that a closure will take place on the ramp that carries traffic from eastbound Butterfield Road (Illinois 56) to northbound Kingery Highway (Illinois 83), in Oak Brook Terrace, beginning, weather permitting, Tuesday, June 13. The closure is necessary to perform pavement repairs and drainage repairs.

Beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday, the ramp from eastbound Butterfield Road to northbound Kingery Highway will be closed until Friday, June 16. A posted detour will direct eastbound Butterfield Road traffic take eastbound Roosevelt Road (Illinois 38), exit on York Road and re-enter westbound Roosevelt Road to access northbound Kingery Highway.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
