Tune in May 15: Elmhurst City Council 101, Understanding your local government

Elmhurst, IL — On May 15, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. during the regular City Council Meeting, Mayor Steve Morley will present an overview on how the City of Elmhurst functions as local government. In his presentation, “Elmhurst City Council 101”, the Mayor will explain his duties and the roles of the City’s 14 Alderman who govern Elmhurst. The presentation will include information on the City’s Commissions and Boards, public meetings, council rules of order, and how committee referrals and reports are generated and voted on by Elmhurst City Council.

Elmhurst residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to gain a better understanding of their local government. The meeting will be called to order in City Hall’s Council Chambers. All Elmhurst City Council Meetings are recorded and posted to the City’s YouTube Page: www.youtube.com/elmhursttv.
