Elmhurst Police are investigating the recovery of a deceased body which was discovered in the quarry located at West Ave & First Street. Police officers and fire personnel searching the west side of the quarry for a missing endangered person from Elmhurst discovered the deceased body of a male, early 20’s, on the bottom of the quarry at 12:40 p.m.  The DuPage County Corners Office responded to the scene and transported the body to the Coroner’s office in Wheaton, IL.  The identity of the body and cause of death have yet to be determined.

Elmhurst police believe that the body may be that of the missing-endangered person reported missing to police on April 14, 2017.
