Please be advised that the City of Elmhurst is expected to receive severe weather throughout the night into the early morning hours. There is a possibility of severe storms developing with possible localized flooding from heavy rains, severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts and large hail. The City is encouraging residents to stay aware of local forecasts and be prepared to act quickly if storm warnings are issued. Current conditions can be found at www.weather.gov.

The City’s storm crew is on standby, and ready to respond in case the city is impacted by the severe weather. Low-lying areas and inlets have been checked, and several cycles of City street sweeping have been recently completed. Residents can assist the City by helping to keep inlets clear of debris.
