The City Clerk's Office at Elmhurst City Hall (209 N. York Street) has been registering voters, and will do so until Tuesday, October 11th.
The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst will be available at the Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, to also register applicants for voting. League members who are also deputy registrars will be in the lobby of the library on:
· Tuesday, September 27, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and
· Monday, October 10, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
A prospective voter can register if they are:
· A U.S. citizen
· At least 18 years old by Nov. 8, 2016
· Resident of the precinct 30 days as of Nov. 8, 2016 (the next election).
To register, two forms of identification are needed, one with current address.
Registering online is also possible if applicant has an Illinois driver license or state identification card. Follow the instructions at: ova.elections.il.gov. Online registrations will be open through October 23, 2016.
