The Elmhurst Police Explorers invite the public to an Open House on October 10,
2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Elmhurst Police Station.

This open house is an opportunity for anyone wishing to join or learn more about
the program. Prospective members and their parents are invited to attend. The Elmhurst Police Explorer program is a youth based program designed for males and females ages 14 through 21 who have an interest in a Law Enforcement and/or Criminal Justice career. This program provides an excellent opportunity for young adults to gain knowledge about all aspects of law enforcement and to work closely with police department members while serving the Elmhurst community.

Members of the Explorer Post meet weekly for presentations and training topics
as well as participating in police ride a-longs, Explorer competitions, physical fitness, and criminal justice related matters.

Elmhurst Police Explorers place a large emphasis on youth leadership and responsibility. The benefits of this program carry with it a confidence and professionalism that will be beneficial in any future endeavor.
