ROAD CONSTRUCTION & NOTICE OF INTERSECTION CLOSURE
RE: Southwest Wet Weather Control Facility Project 24 inch gravity sewer and lift station improvements
The general contractor has been making critical improvements for the (Saylor/Jackson) sanitary lift station. Construction crews have be installing a new twenty four (24) inch gravity sewer on Jackson St from the lift station moving east.
On Thursday May 12 the intersection of Mitchell Ave and Jackson St will be closed for a couple of days for the installation of 24 inch pipe and a new manhole. Jackson School peronnel was given advanced notice to allow the bus company to take alternate routes to get the children to school safely. The Elmhurst Police Department will also be in the area to make sure the area is safe for everyone getting to school.
Detour routes will be posted during construction.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and cooperation during this critical and difficult part of the project. These improvements are essential to the completion of the Southwest Wet Weather Control Facility, which provides sanitary sewer backup relief for more than 2,300 homes.
