The City of Elmhurst Water Distribution crew will begin the annual fire hydrant flushing program on Monday, April 4. Crews will flush and inspect approximately 1,200 fire hydrants during the course of program. The flushing program is divided into 4 sections working north to south. The hydrant flushing process takes four weeks and will be completed by the end of April. Please refer to the attached “2016 Fire Hydrant Flushing” map.
