CITY SNOW OPERATION

Winter Storm Warning Issued
Reminder of City Snow Removal Procedures & Snowstorm Parking Limitations

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning calling for the possibility of 5 to 9 inches of snow starting today through 9:00 a.m. Tuesday with low visibility, heavy snow and cold temperatures. Wind chills near 20 degrees below zero are expected.

Travel is anticipated to become difficult later today and tonight. Please use caution while driving and give snow plows plenty of space to operate. City snow removal crews will be working around the clock to clean and maintain City streets.

Residents can assist City crews by keeping fire hydrants free of snow piles if they are able, and not blowing or shoveling snow onto City streets. Also, please remember not to park on City streets for eight hours following a snowfall of 2” or more. The Elmhurst Police Department will not allow for any overnight street parking on Monday evening.
