Meetings

Monthly on the fourth Friday of the month (unless otherwise noted) at 7:30 am., City Hall, Conference Room # 2. Due to COVID19 the EDC may meet at Community Bank of Elmhurst (330 W. Butterfield Rd), in the Second Floor Community Room for meetings in 2022 where more space is available. Please confirm location on posted agendas.

Purpose

MCO 4.04

The Commission shall have the following powers and duties:

• To establish, maintain and promote communication among the City, other government agencies, businesses, business, trade and industry organizations and other local organizations and institutions, for the purpose of maintaining and improving the economic health of the City
• To recommend to the City Council those actions and programs that will serve to carry out the purpose of the Commission
• To submit to the City Council, on or before January 15 of each year, a report on the economic state of the City
• To elect from its members a Chairman and Vice Chairman
• To perform such other duties as the City Council may direct
