Yard waste bags or containers may not exceed 33 gallons in size nor may they exceed 50 pounds in weight. 

Cost

Yard waste stickers cost $3.50 each and refuse waste stickers are $3.50. The cost of the sticker covers the cost of collection and processing of yard waste and refuse waste.

Affixing Stickers

Affix refuse stickers to the item where they can be clearly seen from the street. Be sure to include the proper number of stickers to ensure pick up.

PURCHASING STICKERS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

At this time, yard waste and refuse stickers cannot be purchased online.

However, residents can drop off an envelope in the DROPBOX located in the City Hall Parking lot. Please include a check, your name, address, phone number, indication of the quantity and type of stickers (REFUSE or YARD WASTE). Checks should be made payable to the City of Elmhurst. The cost is $3.50 per sticker. The City will mail your stickers to the address you provide.
