    Last call! Experience the interactive exhibit inspired by the book by Steve Dahl with journalist Dave Hoekstra and photographer Paul Natkin chronicling Disco Demolition Night in 1979. Learn about the event through a timeline of the day, take a disco vs. rock quiz, view artifacts from Dahl’s personal collection, see a custom-made guitar on loan from Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, check out the jersey worn by White Sox catcher Mike Colbern on Disco Demolition night, and more.

  5. Elmhurst College Fall Capstone Art Exhibition

    December 2, 2017, 12:00 PM - December 16, 2017, 4:00 PM

    The capstone exhibition, the culminating event for every graduating art major, runs from Dec. 2 through Dec. 16 in the Barbara A. Kieft Accelerator ArtSpace. The students create a body of work in their area of concentration, then plan the exhibition and design the promotional materials for it. Suzanna Vasko of Lombard has created digital stained glass depicting the historical relevance of eight major social movements and exploring the integral roles religion has played within them. Samantha Lusby will display a body of work that appears introspective but are designed to show viewers how we all are connected. Sculptor Christian Jacob of Libertyville created “Relics of a Lost World” , each piece incorporates unique techniques and design particular to each culture. Jaci Petrik of Naperville has created graphic elements to form a brand identity for a boutique specializing in fine chocolate and artisan wine.
