Elmhurst Police are investigating an Attempted Robbery-Shooting that occurred at 257 E. First Street. At approximately 1:00 p.m., a male subject tried to rob the 27 year-old male victim who was in the parking lot of that address. The victim suffered a minor gunshot wound to the hip and was treated and released from Loyola Medical Center.

The victim described his attackers as 4 male Hispanics who fled E/B from the scene in a Green/Gray Buick LaCrosse. Police have reason to believe that the incident was an isolated act and the community is not at risk.

Anyone with information or video of the immediate area is asked to contact the Elmhurst Police at 630-530-3050.

Elmhurst Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at Inland Bank, located at 539 S. Spring Rd. on 5/25/16, at 10:30 a.m.

Police responded to Inland Bank after a male/white, 5'01, 130 lbs., with a blue jacket, black pants and a hat, presented a note and demanded money from the bank teller. The offender fled the scene on foot traveling eastbound toward Montrose.

Police have recovered a vehicle which is believed to be involved in the robbery and are currently speaking to a person of interest who may have additional information on the robbery.

The offender of the bank robbery currently remains at large. Elmhurst Police ask anyone with information to contact the Elmhurst Police Department at 630-530-3050.
