City Plan Documents

Municipalities such as Elmhurst often undertake community plans, sometimes called “comprehensive plans,” to help guide physical development or redevelopment in their communities.  Furthermore, the City of Elmhurst Zoning Ordinance requires that the Zoning and Planning Commission, and the City Council, must address City Council goals, policies and guidelines, as outlined in the Comprehensive Plan, in their consideration of zoning requests.  In addition to the 2009 Comprehensive Plan, the 2006 Downtown Plan and the 2015 North York Corridor Plan have been adopted as amendments to the 2009 Comprehensive Plan.  These plans provide additional guidance for the two areas.
