MC-1 (Mobile Incident Command Vehicle) was purchased in 2007 in response to a need to more effectively communicate with all responders to any type of major incident. Technology continues to improve, providing a wide range of new equipment, increasing the effectiveness of on-scene communications. This vehicle allows Elmhurst public safety to incorporate these new technologies by providing multiple workstations with the ability to communicate by radio with many different agencies on many frequency bands. This vehicle has internet connections, tower mounted camera, and a conference area.
